Roger Gale and TV impressionist, Jon Culshaw, pledge support for Marie Curie’s Great Daffodil Appeal

North Thanet`s MP Sir Roger Gale joined  forces with well-known impressionist and comedian, Jon Culshaw, to pledge support to Marie Curie Cancer Care, following a Parliamentary event to celebrate the Great Daffodil Appeal at the House of Commons in Westminster on 17th March 2014.

Sir Roger pledged his support to Marie Curie’s flagship annual fundraising campaign and is encouraging local people to donate and wear one of the charity’s iconic daffodil pins throughout the month of March. The money raised through the appeal helps Marie Curie provide free nursing and hospice care to terminally ill people and their families, across East Kent.

Roger Says:

“Marie Curie`s work is incredibly important to those suffering from cancer and to their families and I am proud to join Jon in lending our weight to this campaign”.

Jon Culshaw, an award winning member of the “Dead Ringers” cast and committed supporter of the charity, said: “I am delighted to support Marie Curie’s amazing Great Daffodil Appeal and will wear my daffodil pin with pride.”

Imelda Redmond, Director of Policy and Public Affairs, Marie Curie, said: “We are grateful to have the support of Roger and Jon as our fundraising activities are vital to ensure we can continue to provide more free care to people with terminal illnesses in their own homes and in the charity’s nine hospices.

“Every service provided by Marie Curie relies on charitable donations. The generosity of people from across East Kent makes our work possible.”
