Chief Scoutís Award for Suzy Gale   (July 28th 2008)
Scouts from First Margate (St. Johnís) have this week presented Suzy Gale with a Chief Scoutís "Thanks Badge" in recognition of her support for the troop and for scouting in general.

Scout Connor Grant, together with Cub Lauren Watson and Beaver Billy Gamble accompanied District President Ann Wells MBE to make the presentation at Suzyís Preston, Nr. Wingham, home.

"The Chief Scout grants a very limited number of these badges" said Ann Wells "and it is a way of the movement saying thank you to people who have given us support over a long period of time. Suzy, together with Roger, has always supported and encouraged us and I am very pleased that our representatives have been able to make this presentation".

Thanking the Scouts Suzy Gale said:

"I am thrilled and honoured to have been given this award. I have always found the Scouts and Guides to be disciplined and helpful and I think that they deserve the support of the community.  The three young people who called to see me were smashing."
